Kjell Inge Røkke has received the Årets I award once again. This is a tribute to his pivotal role for Molde Fotballklubb and North-West Norway, which the club considers unique.

He was made an honorary member of Molde FK in 1998, and his involvement since 1992 has been key to the club's progress. Through the Tilhørighet project, which for two decades has connected season tickets at Aker Stadion to aid for voluntary teams, Røkke and his family have made a substantial contribution to the region. Several hundred teams and associations have received this support.

  • Thank you for believing in us, for the opportunities you and your family have created, and for everything we still want to build together, for Molde FK and North-West Norway, said the Managing Director of Molde Fotball AS, Vegard Storvik.

The club, now in its 115th season, is currently in fourth place in the Eliteserien. They have won four of their last five matches, a run of form that provides hope of climbing higher in the standings. Their next match is away against Lillestrøm on October 11th.

Chair of the Board Tarje Nordstrand Jacobsen and the entire Molde Fotballklubb congratulate Røkke and thank him for his backing through both good and difficult periods. The financial and idealistic support has been a cornerstone of the club's modern history.
