In Molde municipality, we want all students to experience school as a safe and inclusive place. As part of this work, schools can mark Pride. The goal is to make it clear that all students should meet with respect and feel part of the community. The Education Directorate points out that the school is built on values such as inclusion and equality, and that Pride-marking is in line with the school's social mission. Molde municipality assumes that the implementation is evaluated locally by each school, and that the markings take place in a way that ensures the students' safety and respect for different views. Also, the municipality's kindergartens and other services are welcome to mark Pride. The Pride flag is flying at Nordbyen school.
