Molde beat Ham-Kam 5-1 after an early goal from Jalal Abdullai in the fifth minute. The victory came on a day when Molde showed strong offensive efficiency with five different goal scorers. Abdullai opened the scoring with an assist from Niklas Ødegård, before Mohamed Ofkir reduced the deficit for Ham-Kam in the 46th minute after halftime. Trent Kone-Doherty then dominated with three goals in eight minutes, in the 56th, 58th and 84th minutes, before Kristian Lonebu sealed the result in the 90th minute with an assist from Emil Breivik. Molde started in a 4-2-3-1 under Sondre Tjelmeland and made several substitutions, including Fredrik Kristensen Dahl replacing Birk Risa as early as the 17th minute. Ham-Kam, who played in a 5-3-2 under Tore Myhre, also made changes but could not stop Molde’s dominance. Statistics showed Molde had 52% possession compared to Ham-Kam’s 48%, and 7 of 18 shots on target compared to Ham-Kam’s 3 of 15. Both teams committed 10 fouls and made two saves each, while Molde saw Jalal Abdullai receive a yellow card in the sixth minute. The result confirms Molde’s strong form with a fourth win in their last five matches, and the team now sits fourth in Eliteserien with 33 points after 19 games. With a goal tally of 38 scored and 29 conceded, Molde have a +9 goal difference but remain 14 points behind leaders Bodo/Glimt. The next fixture is at home against Aalesund on September 19, a team currently sitting 15th in the table and whom Molde drew 2-2 with in July.
